Mindful Mama Pregnancy Yoga

Connect with baby, your body and your breath at workshops tailored to your changing body. Next workshop is on Sunday 25th January.

Why do pregnancy yoga?

Pregnancy is an amazing, crazy, beautiful time but it can be difficult to navigate the profound physical, emotional and mental changes that come with it. Pregnancy yoga can provide a safe space in which to develop your own sense of intuition, learn more about your body and bond with your baby, while meeting other local mamas-to-be.

Studies have shown that pregnancy yoga can:

  • Decrease labour complications

  • Decrease duration of labour and pain management outcomes

  •  Help to soothe prenatal anxiety and depression

  • Soothe the aches and tension that accompanies pregnancy.

What to expect from a workshop

In Mindful Mama workshops we start with a sharing circle with an optional homemade cinnamon bun to keep you going! Then we move into pranayama (breathwork) which is focused on calming the nervous system and managing feelings of overwhelm. The poses that we do are specifically designed for pregnancy with lots of options to support your body, whatever stage you're at.

Finally we move to the floor so you can spend a few moments supported by props in total, blissful relaxation.

The next Mindful Mama workshop is on Sunday 25th January at Winkleigh Village Hall from 10:30 - 11:45am.

Mindful Mama workshops are £12 per person, or £20 for the two of you if you bring a friend.
